The book is the original, the book shows the dangerous side of Dally, I can see why you all gravitate toward that version. I do too sometimes, depending on context. I get it that you might like it better.

But you’re seriously telling me you want Joshua Boone, a Black man, to be shot by the police eight times a week? Are you stupid? Are you fucking crazy? Maybe some people would be comfortable with playing that role and doing that, but do you not see why they chose differently? People of color, especially Black people! Are shot or put in jail or assaulted for absolutely no fucking reason pretty frequently. I think it’s fair that they didn’t want for him to go through that every night, because that would be pretty hard to separate from reality.

Getting hit by a train is easy to put aside in your mind and say, “yeah, that’s not going to happen to me.”

For a person of color, getting shot by the police isn’t easy to set aside, because that could happen to you without any reason or provoking at all except for the color of your mothertrucking skin.

So stop being a whiny bitch about it.

1 year ago, to this day, my friend bought me Sonic Frontiers. It has now been 1 year of me being completely hyperfixed on the blue blur, his twin tailed brother, and all the others. I can't thank my friend enough for what he did.

I will be taking a week or two off from posting, just as a small break.

In a year, there have been

646 drawing pages (at least, saved on my phone)

2 au's (Re:Donely and Road Trip)

So many friends and acquaintances (if you know who you are, pat yourself on the back)

Hundreds of laughs

Dozens of au's I've become obsessed with

Too many times where I redesigned a character

and 1 year where I have certainly smiled at least once each day.

crucially after their one (1) kind of a joke kind of serious date eddie kisses chimney stupid after walking chimney to the door of his and maddie's house. tongue at all. like it starts as silly both of them tipsy and kind of snickering but then eddie Puts His Mind To It as he's not a man to half-ass anything. it doesn't even last two minutes but chim short-circuits anyway and eddie breaks it off and starts laughing and patting chimney on his shoulder and then he says, see you tomorrow at work!, and walks away without looking back. chimney walks inside in a daze while maddie's on the couch with jee and doesn't get further than "So hypothetically speaking-" before maddie says, "We're not having a threesome with Eddie." without looking up from whatever she and jee are doing. and chimney sighs a little wistfully and dreams about it at least two times a year in a totally chill and casual way.
